:what:. Roman did not turn heel.

Weren't we just talking about how nobody would boo Becky Lynch? Why would anybody boo The Shield?

Which is all part of Vince's plan to get Roman cheers. :mjlit:

Exactly how many people have been sacrificed in order to try to put over Reigns?? Remember League Of Nations :russ:?? I’ve never seen a company put over a stable exclusively to have each member pinned by one guy lmaooo.
He went over Rollins clean on raw late in 2014, Randy put him over at summerslam that year, he went over Bryan clean at no way out, went over Wyatt repeatedly in 2015, beat dean cleanly at the survivor series, went over the whole League of Nations, beat triple h at wrestlemania, beat AJ styles twice after that, essentially buried rusev in the fall of 2016, KO was presented as much weaker in their early 2017 feud, beats taker at wrestlemania, beats Braun once or twice last year, beats him LOLCENAWINS/summerslam 2003 style inside the chamber, buries lashley this year, and they’ve spent the last 4 years ruining Brock to try getting the crowd behind Roman when they faced off. They’ve basically sacrificed he whole roster at the altar of Roman to try getting him over. Even cena himself ended up losing clean at some point, and it’s never gotten him over. I feel kinda sad for the guy. I don’t think character wise he can recover from the last 4 years.

Braun looks questionable coming out of this.

For months he had countless opportunities to cash in, he never did.

But for some reason now that Roman is champion all of a sudden he can’t wait to cash it?

Well its kinda not his fault

Brock was never there

:russ:

But he did get made to look like a punk 2 nights in a row he got bodied by 4 people

1 who beat his ass and tossed his brief case

Then where was Roman to help Seth when Drew McIntyre kept fukking him out of the IC title with no Vaseline? Where was Roman to uphold justice? Locked in a feud that sapped all his free time against someone who showed up less regularly than the average menstrual cycle?

I'd honestly look past this whole thing if Roman was consistently trying to help Seth out with his shyt. Had they planted that seed prior, then I'd totally understand.

Maybe Seth didn’t want his help on that (same as Roman clearly needed to handle Brock as much on his own as possible). We don’t see every conversation these guys have in life.

There being a pride difference between admitting you need some help to hold off a monster with a MITB like Braun when you’re newly crowned Universal champ and wanting help when you’re feuding with scrubs like McIntyre and Ziggler (and they both are scrubs on the Raw landscape, even if they’re “trying” to make something of McIntyre) over the IC belt isn’t that out there.

In general, Roman is easier to beat/survive than Braun too, at least on any given night, so introducing selfishness into this, if Rollins or Ambrose actively have their eyes on the title, they’re not just helping their brother, they’re potentially helping themselves if they can clear him out.

I wouldn't say that... in hindsight, the Corporation basically existed for Steve Austin to pass stunners out to multiple people every week. Vince, Shane, Patterson, Brisco, Bossman, Shamrock, Test, The Rock... for months.

I mean, WWE has thrown out a profound amount of people to sacrifice to the altar of Roman Reigns. But this is ALSO super true.

It is, but the difference is that many of these guys were old guys way past their peak or were non wrestlers. The only real exception was the rock. Austin was also already the most over guy in pro wrestling by the time the corporation existed.

Eeeeeeexactly. Vince, Shane, Patterson, and Brisco, 3 old non-wrestler and the son of the chairman who’s basically a stuntman/fan, a way past his prime Bossman, Test who had barely been in the company for a year and a Ken Shamrock who the WWF had already given up on as far as elevating. That is no comparison of forming League of Nations with the sole intent of getting Reigns over, which culminated in a 3 day MITB cash in win for Sheamus, and Reigns only having the crowd firmly behind him for 1 whole week.

So Bossman, Shamrock, and Test (and then Kane, and then The Big Show who lost his first match on TV to Austin) weren't active on the roster every week?

Austin was already the most over guy in the sport though is the point. Boss man was a clear mid card guy. Test turned out ok from that angle. They dropped the ball on him later with unrelated stuff. Kane was always a victim of nonsensical booking unfortunately, even more so in the Russo era, and they’ve pretty much never booked big show right. I mean he turned face just 5-6 weeks after his debut and then was a heel again in the fall when teaming with the undertaker, then he’s face when feuding with the Bossman and triple h, and then he’s a heel again when feuding with the rock just after the royal rumble match in 2000. All those turns in just 11 months. This was the same calendar year where the boss man crashed show’s dad’s funeral and stole the casket with show hanging on the back. The point is that the corporation wasn’t formed as a means of getting Austin over by making a new stable of guys who are all supposed to be big stars that he squashed all on his own in a month and then they’re never heard from again. He was already the top star in the sport with the whole crowd firmly behind him. It largely consisted of mid card goons and old guys that Vince would throw at Austin. The people he beat up the most were Patterson, Brisco, and Vince himself. The other big difference is Austin vs McMahon was the first time they ran the antihero face vs the evil boss angle, and by late 2015, they’d been trying and failing for 16 years straight to replicate the formula.
