Yeah I get it, but imagine them being in the same situation that they're in now only you're 5-10 times sicker, weaker, slower, and have no new skills in addition to people not wanting to hire you because you're old.

This whole economic house of cards is going to collapse worldwide .I got 170000 in my 401a because I work for the city but since I know during the great tribulation by the time i get to retire it will be useless.so I really don't care either way.

This is really kind of the sad truth. What you save for retirement has to reflect the potential economy at your retirement age. Nobody can predict that with certaintly but one can follow trends and do the math.
