Why not? Y'all act like Barnes wasn't on the team last year when they went 73-9. Yeah, he played like ass in the Finals, but there's no reason to think he wouldn't come back with his regular play this season.
If the Warriors came back the same as last season, they still would be the title favorites; not as heavy as they are this year, but they'd still be the media/"experts" favorites.
Either way, they're losing or were losing to the Cavaliers this season anyway.

OKC would have been favorites because Hortford would have signed if KD agreed to resign.
Their starting lineup would have been
Westbook-Oladipo-KD-Hortford-Adams
Hortford could have played his true role instead of a small ball center & they don't get destroyed rebounding wise like every other team with Hortford is on because Adams is starting and you have Russ and KD who are solid rebounders as well.
They also have a solid bench because they would have kept Waiters and wouldn't have rescinded their offer to him to extend Westbrook.
So you have Waiters/Oladipo/Roberson/Payne/Morrow/Sabonis/Kanter.......a lot of flexibility in what they could have done
I also they think actually beat the Warriors had he stayed too. Second year of Billy Donovan, the motivation to get back......This would have been their year to me.
I had a future's bet on OKC winning it last year to be honest.
I can't blame KD tho, he found an opportunity that fit his skillset more and went after it.
