You don't need to be built like Shaq but you can't be freakishly thin either.

Yao Ming was 80-100 pounds heavier and like breh said lasted 7 seasons. He also didn't move around the court.
Yao was also forced to play heavy minutes every single summer on a China team that ran completely through him

I'm sure Wemby will play in INTL comp too, but it won't be like the year round beating Yao took

That combined with better medical technology should keep him on the court longer. If we get 10 years of elite play out of him it’s a win.

China really did run him into the ground thinking they would be able to compete in ball on a global stage :pachaha:

He really only had a bad knee one season, he kept having foot problems all the time but nothing else really held him back.
Had he not broken his foot in the first half of game 6 he and Ron Artest (without TMac no less) would’ve sent Kobe home early that one season :mjlol:

Which past player of his size had a successful career in the NBA? Do you have to be built tank like Shaq to make it at that height?
they're usually centers, stand under the hoop and get ran into all game
i think hes gonna be a wing he will play less under the hoop nikkas wont run into his knees all game
embiid got with different trainers he falls on the floor alot more which stopped most of his major injuries
he needs that same shyt
needs alot more muscle tho hes a twig

Dude still growing, he needs to stop first before packing on muscle or it will fk everything up.

That's not really a win for "the best prospect ever".

Without the injuries he already has had I would say he has a good chance of NOT getting injured cause he's not strictly a paint player. But at 18/19 years old already with MULTIPLE leg/back type injuries the writing is CLEARLY on the wall that he is a huge injury risk. At best you can hope for a KD type career being that both are tall and skinny but KD bulked up over the years and still can be considered injury prone over the latter part of his career.
