I have no problem with both genders holding their own accountable. But, Black men have always had voices to hold us accountable throughout our history.

Other than Shahrazad Ali, I cannot think of any contemporary Black woman who has openly checked the behavior of Black women.

From what I have experienced and seen, out-of-wedlock births, single mothers, and deadbeat fathers are not an issue amongst the Muslims. Most Muslims seem to be a part of a well established family.

I dont doubt that some of the talking points and statistics and stories are publicized as means to shame Blacks and reinforce racist attitudes. But if an element of truth exists within these statements, then shouldn't we be discussing them further and trying to fix them?

In terms of freedom to do whatever, without fear of social penalty, Black women are the freest people in this nation. They can do just about anything and not be held accountable. Government, simps, preachers or some other entity will be there to help them bypass accountability for their actions.

In other communities, there's a sense of shame. There are social penalties for unspeakable behavior.

Men just don't go around leaving a trail of fatherless children and women just aren't fukking every nikka who approaches them. We've got to change as Black people.

More black women need to stop settling for sharing Tyrone & Tariq with their baby mamas and start saying yes to dates with Todd from accounting and Tyler from marketing. We need to exercise our options more in that area. If black men are telling us to settle for busboys and car washers making $5/hr then it is time to wake up to what they are REALLY saying which is that black women should be happy to settle for scraps.

I'm all for fixing issues with the black community....HUMAN ISSUES that are prevalent among all peoples who have been historically disenfranchised and marginalized by a larger society. But when people try to paint black people as if we're some degenerates who somehow, some way have become the base of humanity, then they can tie a boulder around their neck and go for a swim.
