1. I don't think it's a good idea to promote this idea that women are purposefully not gettin' married to get on welfare. How true and prevalent is that situation?

2. This may, or may not, reach the right audience. Like obesity; we've got a culture that would rather promote single motherhood, rather than critique it.

3. "A Baby Mama Crisis" is pretty unnecessary

One of the biggest problems in our community...

Hell, look here on this board, you understand (at least a little bit) why it's so rampant. "Get married brehs" nikkas out here looking for unicorns (ie: the "perfect woman") and you not gonna find it.

:guilty: I liked the whole post, but, this one hit me...

95 percent of nukkaz in jail got kids.

:hmm: I want to neg u, so bad, because; you never post sources to your numbers.

Get this bullshyt propaganda ass video the fukk up outta here. :camby:

These MFs won't dare make a documentary about all the white MFs livin in trailer parks, smokin meth, havin kids out of wedlock, collecting welfare and food stamps.
Let's just act like millions upon millions of white folks don't live in that reality :stopitslime:

I don't think @Ronnie Lott is trying to say we shouldn't do better because other communities do it too, people are trying to make it seem like only black people have this problem trying to make it seem like it's something that's "wrong" with black people when every race deals with oow births. He's just saying that, even though it's still bad, it's not something that's exclusive to black people so why do people only bring up black people when talking about this.

A better study is how many black couples that have a child are living together. How many that are born out of wedlock really doesnt get to the meat of whats important which is the mother and the father raising the child together.

No disrespect, but; how do ya'll think we should address this?

We make up 15% of the population to white's 80%. But, our kids live in single parent homes 70% to 30%.

That is bad, brehs. Especially considering black ppl are dealing with a misaaproination of community wealth (a trillion dollars that isn't spread amongst ourselves).

The people that run this world aren't living by; well, as long as the momma and daddy raise 'em, right.

I'm sorry but If I knock up a random bytch that's not my family

That's the point of the movie, it seems. Even makin' a life, with another person, doesn't seem to grant someone humanity. smh
As a black man from a stable two parent household in America it's really sad to think that people like me will soon become a rarity. Or already have...
Breh, I was was raised by a "strong" single father. Bills always straight, we lived in a good neighborhood, never wanted for nothing. But, I still felt the affect of not having two parents, in the crib.

My father was always stressed, didn't get the things young men need from a woman, in the house, etc.

That's why I think 2parents is always>>>>>

You're exactly right but what I was trying to say is that if the child is loved on both sides and the father is actually in the child's life.......that child should turn out ok....it doesn't matter if you're married or not...although morally thats correct if everyone did what they were supposed to do, step up and be responsible children wouldn't suffer like they do and the black community wouldn't be in the shape its in

Your not building a community with 70% of the father's having to share time in two or more households--don't forget the brehs with multiple partners w/ children.

its truer than the belief these women are picking dudes they truly want to start families with.

So being complimented and catered to is being a "bed wench"? :childplease:

Carry on

No, its you putting white males on a pedestal. You're practically a white supremacist at this point. Do your thing I guess.

Life
In a 1963 speech made at the University of California, Malcolm X addressed the troubling state of families in the black community. Sadly, it takes on even more relevance today. "Our young girls, our daughters, our baby sisters become unwed mothers before they are hardly out of their teens. Our community has thousands of unmarried mothers [who] have no hope of ever getting a husband. And our community has tens of thousands of little babies who have no father to act as their provider or protector," he said.

over 50 years ago and you thots still aint wised up yet
I like how selective you are he also spoke about black men needing to respect black women.
So wachutalmabout Willis?
Do you honestly think Malcolm X was alive he would be patting you on the back or even the majority of black men on this site. He was about accountability which men like you are not.

There is only one way to address this and thats through mentorship programs in innercities which no one wants to do. All of the problems in the black community fall on the men for the most part. Obviously cacs make up the majority of those problems but outside of that, men have to make a difference reconditioning the youth and having childen with women they plan on being with .

I can get with this.

I grow tired of the problems of black folks always having to have a mass audience.

coli nikkas confuse me
so if black women are the most loyal to their own race (statistically a fact) and they reproduce with mostly black men....wouldnt that mean black men are just as "not shyt" as black women? black women are reduced to their options right? what if the options...it seems are "deadbeats" why dont both men and women share the same amount of responsibility in this terrible statistic instead of black women shouldering the brunt of it (which is what i'm reading from several posters):what:
yal the same ones to cry negro bedwench when a black woman decides to go elsewhere when trying to create a family and have children....but then called idiots if they have a child with black man that isnt in the childs life.
lmao black women cant win
