Before this devolves into a black men vs black women debate i'll just like to give a quick shout out to AFDC for playing a substantial role in making this possible.

One of the biggest problems in our community...

Hell, look here on this board, you understand (at least a little bit) why it's so rampant. "Get married brehs" nikkas out here looking for unicorns (ie: the "perfect woman") and you not gonna find it.

We should be ENCOURAGING our boys not to make babies before they're married or at least in a committed relationship. Having fathers in our homes and watching the times when there are less, and you see a marked difference in the culture, attitudes and behaviors of our children (especially the boys).

Its not one source that is changing our attitudes, but a LOT of them, music, entertainment, just a culture shift in general towards marriage and child birth/raising. Seeing celebs fight with "baby mommas or daddies" over money/etc is taking a hold of our children. They see it and think nothings wrong. Just like 10 years ago, you were quiet dealing with strippers/promiscuous women...Now it's norm to with the "block hoe" or that thick, decent looking stripper. We as a whole have to up our standards.

There's gotta be more checks and balances in the culture. Its like an "anything goes" mentality...everybody's out for theirs, but we fail to care about the next man/woman...We (us, right here) can change this, it doesn't have to be like this, you just have to make a committed effort to reverse the damage...and pass it (the knowledge)to the youngins in YOUR circle...

In the words of the honorable @Chris.B I've never seen a pregnant man before. Women need to be on birth control early and understand the dangers of laying down with the wrong man.
