What has Google have to say about this? :jbhmm:

Should they really be investing in a state who is trying to actively undermine, misalign, and disenfranchise the very group Google is trying to reach out to??

:mjlol:

The high paying jobs will be going to Asians that went to Georgia tech and Emory. Google doesn’t give a fukk about reaching out to black people. They’re developing a pipeline for those schools.

i doubt the All-star game is the last event that'll pull their business from Georgia. They might repeal the law if they incur major economic losses.

The redneck GOP base wants them to not overturn the law regardless of what the financial cost is

This is the most important part of that whole article

"In the days before the Georgia law was passed, almost no major companies spoke out against the legislation"

Seems like a stunt to me honestly. Appear to stand up for black people but still support the cacs that run the government. Looking good on both sides

Companies Condemn Georgia's Restrictive Voting Law Amid Pressure Campaign From Advocates
April 2, 2021

Corporations in Georgia and across the U.S. are taking forceful stances against the state’s new election law—which includes several voting restrictions

Charles Phillips, co-founder and co-chairman of the Black Economic Alliance (BEA), who helped draft and signed the letter signed by 72 Black executives, tells TIME he wants corporate America to realize this is a “national issue. It’s not just Georgia.” Lawmakers have introduced more than 360 bills that would restrict voting in 47 states as of March 24, according to the Brennan Center for Justice. Phillips says he and fellow Black executives should leverage their financial power and political influence to help pass federal legislation to expand voting through Congress “or else we’ll be doing this 50 times” as well as “not fund legislators who are voting for these sorts of restrictions.”
