Here is the pdf he used in the tiktok.

Bureau of Justice Statistics Special Report
Profile of Jail Inmates, 2002 July 2004, NCJ

So his information is from the Bureau of Justice Statistics for adult incarcerations. You can look at the entire pdf in the link I supplied, this pic is the same one used in the TikTok. I am still looking for the actual Juvenile information from a governmental source.

I only empathize with divorced single mothers … and only the ones whose husband left her. Also widows …

But that’s just me …

:hubie:
widows the only ones who deserve sympathy lol

Dudes are not out here terrorizing these hoes like that where a Man leaving the woman = he is ike turner.

It’s not true, I learned how that outdated has been used for decades at a rally for prisoners rights. This article has some good videos and links. I also remember seeing a video on YouTube where they found a pattern in men with stepmothers being more likely to be incarcerated over men raised by single mothers with no connection to their fathers.

I had to get some numbers straight.

I think nikkaz is running with this 80% thing because 80% of single parent households are headed by a woman. That doesn't mean much.

The single mother stat should still be a bit shocking because kids growing up in a single parent household in the U.S. is only 23-27% but 39% of the incarcerated folks are from a single mother...

So single parents make up around 1/4th the households in America.
80% of that number is single mothers.
And 39% of the prison is made up of those people.

Even though they only represent 1/4th of the population

I'm retarded, so hopefully I got that right

they bank on people not understanding the nuances of stats and just to look at the % on the surface.

I've found something on the Family Law Review, Family Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia pdf that explains where the 70% stat may have come from.

"Family Structure and Juvenile Crime A 1998 U.S. longitudinal study tracking over 6,400 boys for over 20 years found that children who grew up without their biological father in the home were roughly three times more likely to commit a crime that led to incarceration than children from intact families (Harper & McLanahan, 1998). Others have found that children of divorced parents are up to six times more likely to be delinquent than children from intact families (Larson, Swyers & Larson, 1995). Boys raised without their fathers were more than twice as likely to end up in jail as those raised with their fathers, and 70% of incarcerated adults come from single-parent homes (Georgia Supreme Court Commission on Children, Marriage and Family Law, 2004). "

The Family Law Review A publication of the Family Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia – Winter 2013

I was directed to this pdf by the Fatherhood.gov website, which is a branch of the Office of Family Assistance (OFA), all coming under the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services. So the stat was from a reliable source, though it is an outdated stat that is still being used by actual government organizations.

The original 70% they quoted was from an actual official government website, but that information the website used was from the Georgia Family Law Review, from the State Bar of Georgia section. So it was not information on the entire nation, but from one state. The attempt to extrapolate it over the entire nation was a mistake made by that government office that is a part of the Department of Health and Human Services.
