The fed pumped, curiously, right before the election. And somehow the Fed is an independant "private" institution. The phillips curve breaks down in the long-term, so this was a clearly a move to change voters minds right before the election.

I think I am going to party like it's 1999 when that fukking faq loses. Fukk em.

after this year, the GOP should just go ahead and clean house. they've been an embarrassing excuse of a party since Bush 2000.
when these idiots lose, their gonna wreak havoc on congress (once again) @ the expense of common folk - - - - - then blame it on NoBama :childplease:

and quit with that black/white shiet cuz not all the right leaners are white. the majority yes, but not all. shyt always gotta be "racially-motivated" in this bih!!! :pacspit:

“While today’s unemployment report offered some encouraging news, it simply isn’t good enough,” added Eric Cantor (R-Va.), the House Majority Leader, in a statement. “7.8% unemployment should not be cause for celebration.”
this fool really said its not enough? Progress isnt enough? does he expect unemployment to just disappear one day??? :snoop: man i swear .....

If the Romney Campaign has any clue what it is doing they will just try and shift their argument from "Over 8% unemployment since 2009" to "7.8% is still far above the 5.6% Obama promised to deliver after the stimulus package was passed". It just becomes a case of changing the narrative of their attack. If done well it can be just as effective even with the deceptive jobs numbers from this morning.

Why does The Fed (or whoever you are accusing) prefer Barack to Romney?

I am not talking about the way the numbers are calculated though.
The number of 7.8% is deceptive because it gives the perception that the unemployment situation is getting better when it is not. You are not going to actually try and act like this is good news for anyone but Obama are you?
The employment situation is still horrible, jobs are not being created at nearly the rate they need to be to just break even and the economy is growing at a snail's pace.
But your candidate gets to front at campaign rallies like things are going great so that makes everything a-OK.

Thanks for proving just how politically naive and generally stupid you are in one post so that it will save me from having to bother replying to you anymore.

:umad:So Money Makin Mitt wasn't fronting at the debate? No one said the economy was fixed....but to deny that there is growth is just foolish. It needs to be better. Congressional republicans should have helped out a little bit. I just was turned off by Scarborough this morning. No matter what economic reporter or analyst tried to explain, Joe wasn't having it...hilarious

You're an idiot.

You do realize the country was on the brink of a depression right? Obviously, these numbers need to be taken in context. I don't think anyone in their right mind would argue that the country is where it needs to be economically...but you can make the case that things are getting better. I don't understand what timeframe you're working on regarding seeing improvements in the economy, but I would I would think it's common sense that it would require 8 years to improve an economy that was destroyed after 8 years of failed policy.

What the fukk does Mitt Romney at the debate have to do with anything? And if you are one of those people upset by the fact that Mitt was not fully truthful at the debate then you should also be expecting Obama to be fully truthful about the jobs numbers.
And I never denied there was growth, but the growth is miniscule and not nearly enough to improve things by any significant numbers.
