No bullshyt ..it sucks lives were lost but those videos of the tsunami back in 2011 were:wow:

Incredible..nature is NOT to be fukked with...tsunamis are amazingly terrifying.

Again terrible because lives were lost but it was educational and I was in awe of how the tsunamis worked...and it was slow and not one big ass wave like the movies.

Granted, that was 10 years ago. Technology and building codes improved since then. And obviously learning lessons from the 2011 earthquake.
Meanwhile all the red tape and bureaucracy has people praying that the infrastructure will hold up in the event of a disaster.

We are completely unprepared for what's coming from the natural disasters of the future. The ship to stop climate change has passed, so our best bet is to do what we can to not be destroyed by what is coming.

I was there for work during the 2011 earthquake, about 100 miles south of the epicenter. Wasn’t in any immediate danger from the tsunami, but definitely felt the initial quake and the aftershocks the following week.

definitely a life changing moment and learned a lot. Companies don’t give a fukk about their employees during disasters. They wanted me to remain in the area even when elevated nuclear radiation levels were detected in my area.
