Chess move.

Bold, to shame someone like that (dishonest behaviour) in Japan is a pretty big deal, especially a nationally revered warrior that is adulated for their bravery and application to taking on a ‘challenge’.

In Japan, this idea of ‘accepting the challenge, being brave’ etc, it’s everything.

Fulton team no dummies, pretty clever to time it like this.

Fulton gonna get hands really put on him now, this is a dumb move by his coach

slandering people's name is a chess move? The handwraps are perfectly legal in Japan. Also legal in Nevada. Where's he's fought multiple occasions. And after he beats Fulton's ass, the people in Japan aren't gonna care about silly ass handwraps. He'll still be treated like a king while Fulton will be an afterthought in America.

Yeah it went over your head. You’re viewing it from the perspective of an American, or a fanboy.

It’s okay, we all love Naoya.

Any chance to get an edge. Try to embarrass a proud, albeit arrogant champion Japanese man, in his own country. That’s the aim here.

Do I think it will work? Nah. Do I see the angle they’ve taken? Ofcourse.
