Finally saw the main event....WOW...one of the best ppv's I've seen in a while.

The worst match for me was the KO's title match...and I thought that was still good...

Not sure which match was best. The opener, the X-div. title match and hair vs. mask were GREAT matches to me...just not sure which was greater.

Main event was good but it felt short and that kip up just irked the sheit out of me.

Can't wait for Mid-October....they will be getting my money again.

Have to admit, I saw the highlights, and IMO, Impact wrestling is shaping up to be back to early to mid 2000s status if they can continue this solid product

This was better than most NJ PPV's just because its not 5 hours long with half the card being passable. Gedo has this thing with putting the whole roster in useless under card matches that drag the shows down though a lot of Japanese promotions do this. The whole show was solid from start to finish, It's was up there with the Takeover shows.

everyone gives Cody props for leveling up after he left the E but AA needs his props too

dude been main event status ever since he left :wow:

that's cuz austin aries didn't have to level up.

he was already a main eventer & world champion long before he went to the WWE.

Finally watched the rest of this...

Those of you calling this the best PPV of the year when NJPW and the NXT Takeovers exist are insane. So stop that nonsense right now.

but takeover isn't a PPV.

the NJPW events are prolly PPVs out there in japan tho, but I could see if someone glosses over that, seeing that theyre not PPVs here.

They had him and Neville on the pre-show last year :hhh: their match was better than most of the Wrestlemania 33 card :francis:

We know what they mean when they say PPV.

PPV=Major Show and this was by no means the best major show of the year. Every NJPW show and every Takeover was better than this in all respects (save for Gedo's booking, possibly).

That's not a slight, because Slammiversary was still unquestionably better on the whole than the last 3 WWE pay-per-views. I'm just imploring people to not grade them on a sliding scale.

This was definitely a lot better than any TNA PPV I've seen in years, but it was more for the forced production due to the venue that made it feel different as opposed to in ring stuff, imo. It looked more like any of the 3000 indie shows at WM weekend more than a TNA production, which in this case helped, but it also looked low rent. Then again, TNA's normal lighting rig and crane camera has made their shows look cookie cutter low rent trash for years now, so any chance is nice.

nobody's doing that.

the WWE is the only promotion that benefits from being graded on the sliding scale.

That would burn the bridge with Vince for sure lol. I think Jericho has a huge respect/friendship thing with Vince, so he would have to convince Vince that him working with Impact is still just a grain of sand in a desert that WWE runs.

Imagine a program with Aries, 2 of the more smart aleck-y guys out there. Or just having him as a GM... Actually no I hate GMs nevermind. Then Jericho would end up further bridging relationships with Impact and NJPW. Everyone really out here working as a unit nowadays it's lovely.

I hated their "aerial" indy hardcam position on the show, but it's w/e.
