I think it was good but complicated fight for Lopez. It's a good thing that he couldn't KO Nakatani as it will understand that KOs come when they come and that it shouldn't force them. Hopefully he learns from it and gets that experience to build his case before resting it. Commey's right hand will catch him but we know that he will also catch Commey and out of the two, we only saw Commey knees wobbled (against Easter and also Beltran I think who are not the biggest punchers in the division). And Nakatani being that tall with that long of a reach would be annoying for any proper lightweight, I'd say Commey should be an "easier" fight to apprehend for Lopez than this one also because Commey can get wild at times and Lopez is a good counter puncher.

Reaffirmed what I thought before the fight, Lopez relies way too much on athleticism as opposed to skills, he struggled now that he had a guy in front of him who had a good chin, a solid right hand and seriously went in there to win not just to survive or lie down.

I see some ppl on social media are already

about it saying Lopez won't meet another tall opponent like Nakatani so everything is good, like he'd only struggled cause Nakatani is tall.
It's crazy to me how some ppl even after this think Lopez beating Commey is a no brainer. I guess it's easier to go forward pretending everything is alright instead of admitting that you might jumped the gun a bit early.

Lopez is still very young but he needs to focus on his skills more and less of the flashy, athletic stuff cause it seems once that plan doesn't work he struggles.
Not saying he can't learn, he's 21 but it's important to improve on where he's lacking instead of believing he only struggled cause he met a tall opponent.

Commey will be a tough as shyt fight for Lopez, he might very well lose it. Commey will come to win, come to knock him out, his chin is good, his power is very good and he doesn't stop coming at you, if he wants to fight Commey in spurts like he does usually he better improves on his defense and make Commey miss over and over again, otherwise he gets outworked maybe even overwhelmed.

After watching the fight in full, Teofimo biggest problem is he doesn't use the shoulder roll effectively. He leaves the left hand down and doesn't roll when the left hand comes causing him to get caught with right hand whenever a 1-2 comes while he's set on countering the jab.

He has great reflexes (for now) so he gets away with bad defense whenever his opponent just throws one punch. He's going to be in trouble if he doesn't correct this before the Commey fight.

not a lot of people can make that shoulder roll work at highest level. I mean toney (most natural user I've seen tbh) and morales at times yeah but its pretty difficult to get down
