Khan was always fast but he doesn’t have the pop of Ryan. Ryan doesn’t even have to load up to hurt guys. I know thecoli hates Ryan but offensively, he’s the most talented of the 4 Kings bc of his height, reach, speed & punching power. We all know he has a ways to go defensively.

He def has the most pop, I wouldn’t say most talented. Most naturally talented is definitelty Tank.

I will give Ryan the pop factor. He’s knocking guys out with fadeaway (step back) check hooks. That is elite power.

He literally throws a throwaway rear hand just to load his hook. He doesn’t even rotate fully with his rear straights, just so he can come quick with a bit of leverage on that lead hook.

Brolic... Alcoholics
unfortunately I didn't see him move off the line once last night and he tripped over his feet several times soooooo IDK how he'll do in a step up, would be an exciting fight though :yeshrug:
I think he knew by the end of the third that Fortuna couldn't hurt him if he tried. You could kinda tell her just said "fukk it" and either walked him down orstayed in the trenches.

Same... Well I wouldn't say I gave smoke but I'd be lying if I said I was overly impressed with either.

I'm still more impressed with what Haney did especially given the conditions, compared to what Davis and Garcia have done.

I will say I’ve seen Ryan get better but still not elite in some areas. His footwork has improved. He’s defense is still okay but definitely needs work I think he’s moving in the right direction. Just has to continue work on those things its not his offense that I’m worried about its his defense head movement and footwork to even set up shots or even miss shots. He has that habit of dropping his arms when he backs out. It was his first fight with his new trainer so hopefully they see it and work on those things.

He moved up to 140 now, it won’t be the same. This was Fortuna who isn’t even a big 135er, let alone as a 140er.
agreed but I think everyone is focused on Tank and he's still taller than Devin by a couple of inches but for sure it wont' be the same. He does seem to still have speed and the left hand pop that has carried alot of fighters. We know Tank is proned to getting hit and waits.

Ryan really is the new Amir khan. And the same type of fighter who exposed khan will be the same who exposes Ryan. The guys who are willing to get in there and trade with him in close quarters. That’s when Ryan is at his most vulnerable defensively. He looks downright goofy sometimes when guys throw back at him because it rarely ever happens.

So far all of his opponents have been enamored with his speed and they just run around the ring waiting to get punched. That’s not gonna be the case with the elite guys. After a few rounds they’re gonna start timing all that shyt and his chin is gonna get cracked again. Fortuna even managed to land a few looping shots last night. Every time fortuna exchanged Ryan left his chin wide open. He’s always gonna have that punchers chance early. But I just see a brutal KO coming in his future.
That isn’t fair as far as a Khan comparison.
At this point in their careers, Khan’s chin was already nuked by worse competition than Ryan has already ko’d.

It will all come down to how sturdy his chin is…if it is just average he will have a hard time stringing together wins at the elite level with his deficiencies. And maybe he does change his style a bit if that happens (similar to Khan running more or Haney never being the same after being buzzed bad).

Garcia and Haney are still in the front ends of their 20’s and moving up the ladder in competition. They are doing a far better job than Tank who is on the ubereats circuit and much closer to 30.

If Ryan can stay disciplined and not make an error…and his chin isn’t just complete china…he is going to be a nightmare matchup for Tank. I would love to see Garcia get buzzed once by Tank and truly see if he has the dawg to bite on his gumshield and stay upright.

A lot of hate in here - he knocked down a Good fight 3x and lumped him up. Made it look easy . Fortuna may not be in the best of shape but Ryan did his things . And we all saw the Tagoe fight.

The height and length wit the pop can give anyone issues
Some people were saying he ducked Fortuna with the mental health thing
He got his head together, or whatever the case, and comes and easily destroys dude and same people flipping the script and giving no credit for the win now:unimpressed:

Nah, he got a great left hook, all his other punches are average, Tank, Teo, Haney all have more varied offense it's just Haney lacks some power (he makes up for it with other things).
Higher level opponents will be able to take away that left hook from him and then he's fukked imo

Oscar only had fast hands & a left hook offensively, and that was plenty

Oscar also had a great jab. That’s what gave floyd problems and shane said oscar and vernon forrest had the best jabs he faced. Oscar also much better feet, better defense, and a better chin.

Let's not compare Ryan to prime Oscar...compare Ryan to young Oscar...there are similarities

That ODLH left hook was masterful tho :banderas:
