Good question, I figure like this.. yall said 6 months passed right? that means more or less all guards died while home from their shift.. and the prisoners died shortly after cuz they were locked up in their cells without anyone feeding them... all prisons are also designed to keep ppl in and out so its hard to enter that bytch..ta daaaa goat hiding place..and oh yeah they got riot gear and rifles and shyt with plenty of ammo

who is to say they are locked in their cells? once power is off the cells can open releasing all the walkers out.

6 months in all those places y'all talking about would be looted/ already have camps there.

People raid the the stores for supplies whenever there is even a threat of bad weather, you think 6 months in the sporting good and gun stores will still have anything in there? Them joints would be empty 2 hours after the first zombie is shown on tv.

actually yea, a zombie apocalypse is happening (remember in the walking dead you didnt know what a zombie is, no movies no nothing, so you gotta go off that angle) who is gonna go to the sporting good store and take all the shin guards, all the catchers vest, all the football pads? You see what I'm saying? I'd also find a truck stop and get an atlas so we would atleast have an adequate map of the state.

best way to find out is to go and look :yeshrug:

what would you do breh?

I'd be sick of having to make a camp and scavenge all the time. Lets say I had a group like Ricks. Im in NC so I'll use that area. I'd stay the hell away from Charlotte and Raleigh. I'd try to make it to the Triad( greensboro, winston, high point). Of course I'd like to have guns for people, but as far as walkers and knowing ammo is limited and gun fire makes too much noise, I'd go for an ancient way to kill em when the need be. My group would all have standard issued machetes as side arms, Some one gonna have to learn to use a compound bow, cross bow takes too long to reload. Spears and make shift shields! we'd learn formations just like they do except we could do like the romans, greeks, spartans and form a phalanx and just drop large groups of walkers with ease. How the fukk are you getting spears and shields Ted Rodgers :stopitslime: Well lowes, homedepot and ace hardware I imagine would still have plenty of tools and materials. If you can't find a generator to work power tools then you have handsaws and other tools, you can make a spear out of lumber, piping, metal rods, flag poles, all kinds of stuff. You get the point. Id get as much farming materials ass possible. Hell I wouldn't mind making a temporary camp there. The shelves are mad high and you can camp up top. raise up some lumber to bridge shelving together.

But in this scenario you are working on the basis that YOU know to get that stuff because the virus is transmitted through bites but nobody else knows that. That's quite an unfair advantage don't you think?

These country ass white folks didn't know what Ebola was but a day after the first case was reported in the US haz mat suits were sold out and they were stockpiling food. 6 months later is too late to get any essential supplies. You need to hit that up within the first couple days. It wouldn't take 6 months for people to figure out that bites turn you into zombies. Someone would figure that out quickly, it would get spread through social media, and then the supplies would be raided.

A place like the Home Depot with lots of supplies to create weapons and shelter would be so invaluable of a resource that some militia would take control of it and only trade with other groups with essential supplies. No random person would be able to just stroll in there and take what they need then leave.

throw on thermals/long johns, duct-tape over those, and some light padding over that. I'll risk a heat stroke over getting bit. Staff with a blade for long distance, and a machete/tomahawk for close quarters

Well yea its 6 months in, if you made it that far you should know by now getting bit turns you though. Rick learned that the second day he was out from another survivor who had survived those 6 months.
