I think of some of these Floyd fans are in denial.

Floyd doesn't need the money, although an easy payday for him is probably going to be worth it. You could see after the fight that he was visibly disappointed he couldn't take out Logan.

He underestimated the size disparity. Floyd hit him cleanly a couple times and he wasn't even fazed. He was more fatigued than anything. 40 lbs is a lot to overcome even for a professional fighting an amateur.
I'm not certain he doesn't need the money the stories I've heard about how he burns through it...

i respect Floyd's hustle but for boxing more broadly all this is just damaging the rep of the sport more. Before when there was exhibition fights by Ali there was no other competition for fans to switch to. MMA is only getting more popular and lot of casuals starting to believe boxing is light work compared to UFC. All this helps the narrative as the casual doesn't understand the nuances (the height difference, the weight difference, Floyd's age, gloves). To the casual one of the GOATs couldn't knock out an amateur.

Boxers, boxing fans etc have always carried the point that not anyone can just step in the ring and if they do they will get seriously hurt. Now again Floyd toyed with Logan and is smaller and older, and would be different story if Logan went against an actual prime fighter at Logan's weight would be different, but this garbage not helping boxing.

You see it, dudes are in here preaching to the choir, the casual does not care about nuance all they see is a legendary boxer could not beat up a social media guy, no spinning will change that
