Charlo need to be more active especially with the level of opps he been fighting at 160 minus Chenko

I’m willing to give Jermall a pass for this fight.
This is going to sound strange. Montiel reminds me of a more defensive version of Navaratte. Where he is super awkward with his defense (and not his offense like Navaraette).
He uses his awkward defense for hard counters. He also has incredible durability and stamina. He had these little movements and weight shifts that would look normal if he was in a more normal boxing stance, yet they look strange even though they produce the same amount of leverage. This is second nature to him, he has been doing this since birth.
A guy with those traits (especially when you add the chin/stamina), is just not easy to train for. Montiel is an intuitive fighter.
Jermall wasn’t hurt, he did get gassed from the output though. No excuses, a KO would have been the preferred method of victory...yet it’s just one fight.

not me...out of all the middleweight champions he has been given the most passes by far and for what? nah that dude is spoiling on the vine....he needs to get his shyt together...his MW run is awful..montiel is not shyt

The Sergey win was big. Styles make fights though, I just think Montiel was a strange look.

Andrade's last fight played out almost the exact same way. Beat the shyt out of a tough ass Brit that he couldn't get rid of, got caught in one round (and that narrative overshadowed the rest of the fight) and he was weight drained after a long layoff.
