:ehh: For everyone that looks killer, he throws 6 more that completely miss. Not even in a safe worker way, but in a "tighten your shyt up" kind of way. I think his strikes look pretty shytty. Okada's too, which is why their strike battles have been so lol. If you aren't good at something, either get better at it or don't include it in your matches. It kind of made sense in the Okada vs Shibata/Suzuki matches because Okada was getting REKT trying to keep up strikes with them while hopelessly outmatched in that department. In the Omega matches it's just normal "we gotta have strike battles" and neither of them are good at that specific thing.
So are you saying Seth rollens knee strikes are better then Omegas?

I don't think Seth's Rainmaker knee thing is really any better or worse than Kenny's. Does Seth do a bunch of running and flying knees otherwise?
Seth knees are shyt his finisher is shyt, that knee off the top rope is shyt . and the fact that they let him make it his finisher after that whole knee thing with HHH is laughable.

Having said all that. I didn't think this was a problem in the Omega rematch. I actually thought he did the best job he's ever done using his dropkick as an equalizer. Then again, I think it's because he finally changed the formula of his previous title defenses. This time he was clearly the one working from over after the pointless legwork section ended, and as you have said in the past, that's were he's most comfortable in. That's suits him much, much better than trying to be Misawa and get the shyt beat out of him before mounting an epic comeback (and failing in the "epic" part).

Now don't go full Meltzer on me breh, come on. How about Yamazaki and Hashimoto? Poor Kazuo always gets overlooked :mjcry:
Difference with this and Kazuo is Kenny actually gonna beat him for the belt one day :mjcry:

And yeah, Okada is just better working over. :manny: Was fantastic to see him straight up break someone's will, and for Kenny to get on that fighting spirit wave. This match had them reverting back to their strengths. Okada the dominant over, Kenny the theatric under.

I hope they stop this forced epic bullshyt and give us a shorter match where their strengths aren't overshadowed by having to do too damn much - with very little meaning - just because they want to go long. I honestly believe they can have a classic match if they stop fukking around and just have a focused and shorter match.

You gon hate this bruh, but they already have two classics :picard:

Thinking on this now being the new marquee series in NJPW, I have the Dome match better than either of the first two Okada/Tana matches, and this Dominion joint better than Invasion Attack '13.

And they got KOPW '13 potential for the next one :wow:

Even my breh who disliked Dome as much as you rocked with me when I said Dominion = Invasion Attack, describing it as a great display of his least favorite type of wrestling.

Kenny and 'Kada got the juice now :wow:

That's Bate vs Dunn at Takeover. Those two had an amazing match with a style a like less each match I see from it :wow:

And I didn't dislike the Dome match :dahell: I though the "best match ever" talk was ridiculous and argued against it but always said it was a really fun spotfest that just went too damn long

And Dominion is even better :blessed:

I'd love to know why they think they couldn't tell exactly the same stories of those matches in 20-30 minutes as opposed to 40-60. Naito/Tanahashi 1 and 2 this year were both right around 25 minutes and both were better matches and got their stories across better. I'd understand if the Okada/Omega matches had lots of downtime after the big spots, but they haven't, they just spent the first 15-20 minutes doing basically nothing then jumping into a full sprint for the rest of the match.

Wait, you thought the 1 hour draw was better???? :dead:

Man you sure know how to overlook flaws and put narratives on them when you like something.
I think we spoke on this. At the end of the day, when it comes to wrestling, if something genuinely captures me all academic analysis can go out the window. I can acknowledge all the faults in the match, but when that final bell rang I was both entertained and excited about what they can do in the future.
