I could not disagree more.

Marquez put Manny to sleep and 4 million people still watched him get washed by Floyd.

Neither Wilder or Joshua are close to Floyd or Manny’s level popularity-wise. But I think that’s why this can work to their advantage. The number of casuals who are gonna be talking about this fight on Monday is gonna be ridiculous. That said, they’re already calling Ruiz “Butterbean”; a decisive win by Joshua in the rematch and he can blame his L on not taking his opponent serious and every will forget the Ruiz loss happened. Plus there are bound to be MORE fans watching the rematch to see if the first fight was a fluke.

On the flip side, Wilder now has two chances, against Ortiz and Fury, to improve his bargaining position and position himself as the top dog in the division. If both he and Joshua can impress? The fight is still probably one of the 2 or 3 biggest money fights in the sport, easy. The storylines are just a little different.

You must not know shyt about boxing. Joshua doesn't move his head enough. Dude got dropped in sparring and you think this is luck?

Im well aware of Joshua's flaws, he got tested by another relative unknown in his last fight but I cant remember the last time I saw such a celebrated multi-belt champ get cooked by a dude that everyone wrote off as a tune up fight, and got dominated at that. Charlo didnt go out like THIS.

rocky...

nikka ruiz only loss was to parker and it was a decision and it the cards was close 114-114 ..115-113 115-113 and he lander more punches..that fight should have been a draw...but ruiz was gassed...

..not like he had 4-5 losses

True, but I dont know anyone who thought Ruiz had a chance to win this. Hell, a lot of the boxing heads I know didnt even know who Ruiz was.

its only a handfull of heavyweights who are of that caliber nowadays...

toney can come out of retirement right now and take wilder title....as is...
He keeps winning though...its like this large contingency of fans that are angryhe keeps knocking everyone out..lol
