most people arent getting songs from their mixtapes on the radio - currensy, dom kennedy, asap mob, nipsey hussle, etc - and still maintain popularity. it's the commercial album releases that get push, dude has clearly broken into the mainstream with that album

you're clearly not getting the point - dude isn't doing anything special out here. you acted like he's defying the odds because he doesn't get play, no, his commercial release got plenty of play, mixtapes not so much - as is the case for most artists (save those few songs that are able to make it to radio from tapes like wicked, etc). between how much the blogs cover him, his corny weirdo shyt, and mass appeal to white kids who soak that shyt up, no shyt he does more numbers than them.
