The covid episode really turned me off but I can’t be mad at them since everyone seems to do one of those episodes.

I'm watching it right now, and its rather jarring how they shoehorned it into the show. Like after everything that's gone on, now Covid exists?
Being honest, Dez' change of heart in the beginning of the season after one talk from Henry was forced too. Like you weren't party to all of the fukkery for an entire season.
And Marie...you hooked up with the man's best friend and then asked for a divorce while he was locked up. How the fukk you think he's supposed to feel or process that?
Season 1 was good but 2 is kind of....blah overall

I think Aaron's money man is one of those " you gotta break a few eggs types". I think he ultimately wants to reform the police, but he's willing to undermine Aaron in order to achieve his goal.
