Look at this shyt

Good evening ladies, I'll tell you from the start
I'm hoping you enjoy my amusement park
There's lots of activities, fun things to do
And I'll find my pleasure in pleasing you
Some rides go fast, some rides go slow
You fear heights when I'm high, hell yeah, I'll go low
It tastes so sweet that sticky cotton candy
If we get carried away, we'd be starting a family
It's a perfect time for a magic trick
Girl, you know it's no fun without the magic stick
Now watch me as I pull a rabbit out a hat
Then you can use the rabbit all over your cat
Applause now, that's the first half of my act
I started out a pimp, now I'm more like a mac
I don't need your paper, just don't fukk with my stacks
(Oh, it's like that?) Yeah, it's like that

Like this is some shyt a child would write. Very elementary. At least the beat is good.

His music always been minimal with the wordplay, he has witty lines here and there but who’s listening to him for bars? The Massacre was the beginning of the end. Did anyone hear the lyrics of Candy Shop or any of the songs on that album?

Thats literally 90% of his music :dead:

Example 50: ''i shoot you in the head and then you'll be dead" :mjlol:

which is why you never seen him on songs with high caliber mcs.

Before the 50 stans come rolling in (we ain't counting him being on songs with label mates or goofy ass commercials):comeon:

People think girls like girl/sex songs…yeah, if it’s hot, lol. Girls like hot songs, no matter what you’re talking about. He was too formulaic with that ish, when you’re overly non-organic with it like that, it typically doesn’t work. This shyt makes “Candy Shop” sound Nas “Memory Lane”

after the massacre, his music is mostly unlistenable. its like he was creatively tapped out.

in that era every rapper was obliged to have a single "for the ladies", a single "for the streets", a single "for the club", etc

The backlash for both this and 'Straight to the bank' was some wild shyt to watch unfold in real time....Like, both songs got shytted on hard as fukk to the point it threw his whole rollout off, and is part of the reason the stigma exists around the "Curtis" album, which while isn't great, is nowhere near as bad as people made it out to be.

I still blast the fukk out of "Follow My Lead" though, no idea how that didn't get much play.

I predicted it bro, I promise you. When I heard Get Rich or Die Tryin the first time I didn’t really love it like that…and it’s because the lack of things to talk about/creativity…I immediately knew that shyt would not keep him on top for more than like 2-3 more years.

If he could actually rap like a Lil Wayne or some of these others guys with no/limited things to rap about he could at least fall back on the skills…he don’t even got that tho, lol. Still my guy.

You could see him dumbing down in real time. In the heat of the moment it seems like the right thing to do cause people are spending money and radio is giving spins but he really should have sat himself down in the studio and dropped something he knew would get him some critical acclaim. nikka spent the rest of his career trying to recreate his 2nd album when his buzz and legacy was made off the first.
