what could've been

During the peak G-Unit run of the early 2000s, 50 Cent already envisioned himself of leading an empire – thanks to help from Eminem and Dr. Dre. Following the roll-out of Get Rich or Die Tryin’; Fifty revealed to those near him that he was planning to sign each of The Lox members to G-Unit Records for $1.5 million each. However, due to an appearance on “New York” with Ja Rule and Fat Joe, this led to a rift between both sides for a few years. Take a look at the rare story breakdown below and let us know in the comments how you think this would’ve played out.

you ever get tired of hating? :mjlol:

this nikka probably don't have $500 in his Bank Account calling a multi millionaire business owner "not a boss".

He's not a boss in the context of hip hop. He sold 40M albums but could never manage or produce his own company like a Dre, Diddy, Jay Z, etc.

Everything he touches dies or goes to bankruptcy

Now that I’m older a 1.5 million dollar contract doesn’t sound like that much

After taxes they would’ve got like 750 racks to split between 3 people :picard:

50 Cent is not a boss, he has no management skills, so this would've been a disaster.

So Banks (2x platinum), Game (3x platinum) Buck (platinum), even Tony fukkin Yayo (platinum) were failures?

Even that wigger wear G-unit clothing had a good 3 year run

You forgot the triple platinum G-unit album and platinum GRODT soundtrack,

G-unit easily is more successful than any other movement in that same timeframe
