I'm not going to act like I know their relationship but if you listen to the interview he saying Marquise wants to be known as Lil 50 all while never really interacting with his own father because of what his mother has drilled in his head. He rather be around people connected to 50 then 50 himself because it's more pleasing to his mother to upset his father then to actually fix the relationship.
The mother is dumb because if she was a little smarter she would allow Marquise and 50 to fix their issues and then just have Marquise take care of her. But her pride isn't going to allow it.
To me he hasn't disowned him because he can easily ask not bring him up in interviews and he said they still can fix all that.
