I don't like Berto vs. Garcia. Garcia needs better opponents than that. I love the idea of Garcia vs. the winner of Thurman/Porter.
If AB needs a step up fight at 147, Berto isn't horrible, but he should beat Berto pretty easily.

Swifts fought in January... He can't wait for Porter/Thurman to be available... He'd be on the shelf almost a year

Swift wants the Vargas fight...said he'd fight Brook in the USA...there's plenty reasons why those won't happen none of which are Garcia

That leaves us with limited options

Im talking specifically 140.. he is top 10 regardless if he's under a sanctioning body rankings... RING and TRBR are the most accurate as far as divisional rankings..

You have to pay the sanctioning bodies to be ranked there.. Broner just got stripped so he's not gonna be listed under a sanction yet

For Danny I would want a fight vs a fighter people are either optimistic about or a guy who can create a little buzz for the fight. Berto at this point isn't at that level and everyone pretty much knows who he is and what he brings.

Let's just say under the circumstances it might be understandable if Berto was the choice, I just dont think a Berto fight does anything for Garcia's career, Berto has everything to gain from that fight.
