I didn't buy him being out of it here just like I didn't buy him being out of it vs floyd. dude tried to get a floyd DQ and it backfired. dude is an actor now for a reason....he knows how to sell the shyt. he pulls off that deer in the headlights look to perfection. where he's looking in the direction of the ref but not directly at him, lookin like he just got hit with that men in black flashy thing. if only Agent K was here to rewrite him a happier story cause he's done out here.
Berto v Ortiz 2 highlights
Berto v Ortiz 2 full fight
dont really think ortiz quit or has no heart like every body is claiming
he just got caught with a really good shot...
a quick uppercut(which Berto is known for) that basically came under a lazy ortiz jab attempt
I think the issue was the weight drain...
Ortiz looks like a damn middleweight in that ring and he had to come in at the welterweight limit of 147
not sure what he re-hydrated to but weight drains do a number on fighters strength and stamina
also ortiz was not himself in there with that jabbing and moving around
hes more a seek and destroy dude trying to box like floyd
he got caught off a counter cause his jag was lazy and too predictable...
he was doing alright cause Berto looked stiff but Ortiz let him get warm when really he should have jumped on Berto early
so the weight drain coupled with the wrong strategy was Ortiz's downfall
that predictable jab left him exposed for a counter he wasn't ready for or could recover from because of that weight drain
give Berto the credit for staying composed after being knock down by a middleweight
he earned this victory by being patient
