Transfer portals :banderas:

NIL :takedat:

Rich schools that ARE NOT bluebloods (like SMU) can finally use their $$$$ and location (recruit-rich Dallas) to build talented rosters.

Bluebloods still get the best players. The cream of the crop will stick around at Bama, Texas, UGA, tOSU etc., but the 4* that wasn't quite as good as Derrick Henry 2.0, can switch schools and go to a place where he'd actually play. You won't see 1995 NU, 2001 Miami, 2004 USC etc. Schools that had 1st rd draft picks as backups. Big dog schools have the top line talent but lack depth.

Thats why saban retired

He knew that competitive advantage was over

He pretty much said as much... with all that "Alabama can't compete in NIL !!!" talk he was having, which is complete BS. Like Bama don't got backers lol

Saban also left the NFL when times got tough. That's why I've never really looked at him the same way I'd look at other legendary coaches, he's got some suspect moments.

Yep, no more can these top 15 teams stockpile talent and not play them. This is the origins of balance. It's good for CFB

Yup looks at Vanderbilt their qb and leading receiver were starting on other teams last year.

The days of having a 5 star third stringer whose gonna wait this turn meh

You can get paid and excel anyways

Not only that but u have bred these guys inyour system so there almost like robots. Now this shyt is like the nfl where u could have new STARTING teammates every year as well as a whole new coach and system to learn every year. System style players gonna get exposed in college EARLY. This gonna allow the nfl scouts job to be that much easier. Imagine a player dominating two different schemes and coaching styles in college thats a great resume'. On the other side imagine a guy who played great than transfered but never played the same as he did in the last seaso, whoops, now thats ALL BAD......

He left the nfl when he realized it’s a QB league and he picked the wrong horse

There's money and then there's MONEY.

Bama is cream of the crop Blueblood, but if it becomes a cash contest....issa fair number of schools that can outspend them without sweating. Bama money ain't like Texas money, SMU money....hell even Stanford money.
