5 men arrested after shutting down downtown intersection with twerking​

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WKRC) - Five men were arrested Monday after they allegedly stepped out of a car and began twerking in the middle of a busy intersection in Downtown Memphis.

According to WREG, authorities in Memphis, Tennessee noticed a 2016 Chevy Malibu stopped at a green light at an intersection in downtown. The station reported that four men were seen twerking around the vehicle, while one man was dancing on the hood.

Police responded to the scene and the five men were taken into custody:

• MeKell Sanders (18)
• Rashaun Bryant (22)
• Jordan Smith (19)
• Mandre'Co Mays (18)
• Desmond Subbery (18)

All five of the men were charged with obstruction a highway or passageway.
Citing an affidavit, WREG reported that they were taken to jail so that the act wouldn't happen again.


I’m more surprised that this didn’t happen in Atlanta.
