Just rewatched. Had it 5-2 canelo going into the 8th. Anybody who gave BJ round 1 slap yourself
.....very clear canelo round. Great body work. Canelo proceeded to school him over the next 3 rounds. Then Saunders got round 5 easy. But then in round 6 he went back to being hesitant and let canelo back him into the ropes and dig into his body. Canelo got it with power shots. Froch gave that round to canelo as well.
Then Round 7 Billy bounced back with good activity. Canelo was pretty much just chilling. Barely throwing. Now it's clear it was just the calm before the storm. He completely stopped throwing the uppercut so saunders wouldn't expect it. Then he dropped the hammer. Great performance from canelo all around. Saunders still showed some really good footwork and angles. But he landed about 4 really solid punches the whole fight. Even less than I remembered on first watch. All that slickness don't mean shyt if you're not landing anything. Canelo showed he was superior in every facet. 6-2 canelo or 5-3 at the very worst if you were really dying to give bj rounds.

I think y’all overrate the jump from 147 to 160. Plenty of guys have made the jump and again I think G is washed and he wasn’t that damn great in the first place. Spence wins a close decision on points. I think he’s of similar size and talent at 160 to Dervychanko

All he had is canelo fights on his resume..he's no world beater..Abel Sanchez talks him up like he had a Sugar Ray Robinson run...lol.
Spence can do all those things and he'll do them to Canelo too. He's got the frame for 160 and 39 year old GGG isn't gonna cut the ring off on Spence or really hit him too clean. Its a mismatch. Spence tees off on someone that slow and plodding. GGG fights chumps these days anyway..dont matter.
