Everybody who says something about Canelo gets written off as a hater as if we don’t still tune in to watch him perform. The fact is it’s exciting to see the possibility of seeing him knock someone out like watching a Tank fight. But he fight British fighters for a reason like his whole career. His entire career has been a mirage. I’m not going to take all his victories away, but he fight British fighters because he has never had elite footwork, defense, head movement, speed, and agility in comparison to fighters of color. It’s just the truth. Like cmon. You would think he out here fighting white supremacy. He just un-athletic, has always been, and has been fighting white boys his entire career to disguise that. shyt he looks Irish or some shyt himself. His defense would not drop off the face of the planet at 32 years old. That’s unheard of. Speed? shyt he even got exposed once again with Plant with the footwork. Plant has great footwork and was making him look silly until he got caught lacking and got knocked out. Canelo was stiff and couldn’t move with him at all. The only thing carrying him and that has always carried him is power… and we know where that power came from :francis: (That dirty, dirty)…. And ring IQ is nothing spectacular
This is a terrible terrible take. No ring iq or head movement? Please stop.
Canelo washed, it was a good run but thinking back on it alot if it was a lot of British fighters, who are overrated to begin with.

History is not going to be kind to Canelos resume and add that on top of all the close fights he had with just above average fighters.
How is history not going to be kind to his resume? Champ in 4 weight classes, beat the middleweight king, faced and beat multiple future hall of famers, undisputed at 168, etc. Come on now.

Had a very dope career. No one is shytting on dude. Needs to ride off though. Painfully obvious his peak was 2015-2020. And that's ok.

He's an old 32 with lots of mileage. It's a brutal sport and it's caught up with him.

Whether you think he won or lost some fights he took on some really good challengers and title holders mixed in with some gimme fights (Fielding, Khan, Avni). But it's coming to an end. Bivol might KO him for real now

What HOF talent has be beat in their prime? He got alot of names but all these HOF guys was way past their prime.

He beat three slightly above average white fighters for undisputed :russell:

What is his most entertaining fight? The GGG draw? What is his most memorable fight? The GGG draw? Yea Canelo look great when going against subpar comp but he looks painfully average against good comp.
