If we comparing Kenny to Greats like Rock, Bret, Angle, etc.

Then that’s fair.... but then again not many can compare to them in certain terms and I have to agree.

Rock definitely is a better talker than Kenny, but he ain’t a better wrestler.

Bret it’s a better TECHNICAL wrestler than Kenny but I don’t think he has a better personality or a talker. Bret was always kinda dry one note with his promos but he made it work for what he needed. He never had the swagger of Hogan, Flair, etc

I don’t really think people are saying KO is the greatest of all time.... they just saying he’s currently or at one point was the best in comparison to his current contemporaries in this era.

But mainly everything you saying about Kenny can be said about anyone now if we comparing them to Rock, Eddie, etc

Also back to the 69 line. I disagree, you’d like it from the people you named but hate it from Kenny cuz you already have a bias against him and like them. Which again it’s cool.

Im gonna give you a prime example to prove it. New Day and many Big E for years been doing or saying MAAAAAAAAD worse suspect shyt. But since people like them. We just gloss over it, pretend it’s not what it is and just be entertained by it.

Big E cut an 8 minute promo vividly describing digging into Sammy booty (with the most creepy look) and got no backlash and we still laugh at the “put your meat on my meat stuff” cuz we like them.

Rock isn't a better wrestler than Kenny, but Rock is a far superior SPORTS ENTERTAINER. That's the name of the business. Kenny hasn't grasped the "entertainer" part yet.

Big E's promo was definitley zesty, but more importantly, Big E's Baptist preacher delivery & personality made it memorable. Other than "69 me", I can't recall one interesting thing Omega has ever said. He has zero personality.

The show was great from top to bottom for the most part. Britt getting the title was DEFINITELY the highlight (Love Shida, but she had to drop it here).

Only issues were The IC not breaking up, which might be solved at some point if they're going with this feud ending on a Jericho/MJF match like they seem to be. So I'm not too torn up about that.

And Cody's match which... look. I don't hate Cody. We all poke fun at him being extra with the entrances, longest matches on the card, the pageantry, etc. But generally, he seemed to at the very least 'get it' during his feud with MJF. But now it legit is getting to the point where, even though he's kept his word on not involving himself in the World Title scene, he's becoming the guy he hates the most. He tried to have the storyline-driven match, but it didn't stick the landing because Cody came off as the unlikeable, Self-Appointed Hero and Ogogo as The Underdog in the build-up.

Ogogo should've gone over here and in dominant fashion to set up for the inevitable rematch down the line (You know it's gonna happen with how they've presented Ogogo so far).

Not trynna be funny but legit question, do you speak Japanese? If so dope. I wanna learn.

I completely understand why people like and want to see promos. But I think they should be fairly short, straight to the point, and not oversaturated.

To me the Sports Entertainment should and needs to be in the ring. Just like no one really goes to Football/Bball games to see the sideline interviews and halftime show. I don’t primarily watch wrestling to see them talk. Entertain me from bell to bell, show me your personality with your ringwork. ie Sanada, Ichii, Mil Muertes, Puma

Rock was the only one I can give a pass that I didnt mind watching a long promo. Literally only him. Not even Austin, Flair, or anyone else. But even he didn’t fully hit like he used to in his past recent shots

One of my fav aspects of NJPW is they completely cut out promos. Like literally only one person gets a promo and that’s the main event winner and after their match. (And if we being real, not many of them there are really talking about anything of significance or cutting memorable great promos, most just be rambling)

I can give anyone a pass that’s a great worker but not strong in promos. But If your promos are way better than your ring work.... to me that’s troublesome.... very troublesome

Promos should be the side entree not the main course of the meal, forget the sexy labels at the end of the day it’s still WRESTLING.

I don't speak Japanese, but I can read subtitles.

Okada & Naito can actually talk. Some of their promos from Mexico & the US aren't bad at all.

If you didn't like that list, you would've hated the list I almost made of AEW wrestlers I'd place higher than Omega (spoiler: Brit Baker is on it).

I love a good promo as much as I love a good in ring story. I think that a good verbal beatdown is just as impressive as the in ring action. Some of my favorite rasslers (New Jack, Raven, Foley, Rock, Heenan, Heyman) gained me as a fan because of their mic work first. MJF is another good example of someone who got over because of their ability to talk.

I like workrate, but I also like logical story progression. I think promos are a good way to advance a story.
