The sledgehammer shot was random but I can’t lie I marked when it went down. For the last couple of years HHH has forced himself onto the card with his wild entrances and made us sit through one of his dull matches where only Kliq dudes praise his “ring psychology “ . This was Cody basically saying I can run the show as well as be a crucial component to it and not drag it down for fulfillment of my own ego. Plus since Starrcast he’s shown that he wants all the smoke with WWE right now.

DoN was a great show and I feel like they have plenty of potential. My only complaint was their pacing and match placement. The Young Bucks vs. Lucha Bros match literally burned the crowd out before Jericho vs. Omega and it showed on tv. Plus it didn’t help that the match didn’t come close to its predecessor but once Moxley pulled up it all came to fruition. I like the fact that Omega lost because it’s gonna be interesting to see where they go from here with him. Last year he was pretty much the called the best in the world and now he’s back more or less at square one. They have some dope stories they can tell now that they are full swing

Vince forces him into those matches.

If HHH really wanted all that in ring spotlight he'd be NXT champion at the moment.

good to see aew respecting legends unlike wwe.

I don't think he should have went over Omega and this match was worse than their WK match. You can respect him without having him beat younger, better stars at 50 while being washed. To be fair Kenny was washed too tho :picard:

Kenny vs Hangman Page was better than both Jericho matches to me and Hangman is more seasoned now then when he went against Omega the 1st time, im not a big fan of Page but no doubt in my mind he can go more than Jericho at this point.

When can we talk about Omega and Jericho both being bloated and out of shape?

Yeah man :francis: this was not the Omega I was expecting :mjcry:

While I was disappointed in the match I looked forward to the most the other matches over delivered :ehh:

very good start to this :ehh:

ending it with Dean standing tall and not Jericho was a better ending as well, this nerd Khan might actually know how to run a wrestling company :ehh:

Given Jericho is facing Okada in two weeks for the NJPW title, it would have been a bad look for everyone if he lost. If Omega won, Jericho would look weak going into that match. Plus, there's money in third Omega/Jericho match given they each have a win over each other. Not to mention critics and the WWE Stockholm Syndrome people on this board would point out that every Elite member won their matches at a major PPV again.

Jericho's last NJPW match was a loss to Naito. They're booking taking other promotions into consideration? Go ask PAC bout that.

It's WWE stockholm syndrome to mention everyone in elite won? :gucci: you guys know these dudes aren't above criticism right? :gucci:
