Again, it was extremely weird that WWE sent Ambrose off with a huge fairwell. They gave him a whole network special and everything.

Also, Kenny was half dead, now he's fully recharged. :mjlol:
Didn't understand this

Maybe it was a token of appreciation for wrestling so much for them over the years. He was wrestling the most house show matches for a while.

It was a pretty good start for AEW, I feel like they did a great job establishing all the characters, Cody vs Dustin was MOTN, Ambrose/Moxley debuting was kind of expected but still surreal seeing him there. The thing I also liked about the PPV was, while the show was nearly 4 hours long, it didn’t feel like a drag.

this is very good for the wrestling industry and the fans. regardless if you prefer one promotion or the other (or both), this will force both of them to be at their absolute best.

no more lazy ass booking and cookie cutter / corporate bullshyt from WWE (hopefully) .... get back to what made you great ... professional wrestling. not corporate, PG nonsense.
AEW needs to do more for the WWE to change anything. The real test begins after their TNT deal.

Especially with his VTrigger knee strikes. The best in the business and in comparison Seth looks like shyt when he does his. They look slow and pack no impact

Because he's too worried about not hurting guys as opposed to throwing a convincing strike.

I'll have to watch this back, but while this show wasn't as good as All In (in no way, shape, form in fact), it did mostly do its job of establishing the main guys and girls and setting up matches and angles down the road. Despite not liking the finish, or even being enthralled with the match that much (I just don't have any interest in watching a 30 minute Chris Jericho match in 2019 that isn't a No DQ brawl, and even then 30 is really pushing it), Jericho winning and then both of them getting beaten down by Moxley opens up a lot of potential match ups at the top of the card. If PAC loses the Dream Gate belt relatively soon and comes back to AEW, even more match ups become possible.

I'll be very interested to see where they go from here. Not a bad introduction to the product.
