They booked that bloated fukk Jericho as their inaugural heavyweight champ. Their second and current champ is Dean Ambrose (who has been a flop). They treated Jack Swagger’s debut as if it were a Lex Luger at mall of America moment. Of course, the marks in the building and here in TSC treated it as such but what has he done since? Jack shyt. They brought in Luke Harper as the second coming of Christ. They thought Matt Hardy was gonna move the needle. They’ve brought in Jake the Snake, Arn Anderson, Tully Blanchard, etc.

The problem with putting ex-WWE guys in the top spots is when you put a guy who didn't matter in another company and treat him like a big deal right away. Jericho was a multi time world champ in WWE, and WWE themselves swear that WCW were idiots for not making him a top guy. Mox was an upper midcarder that was as over as most main event guys for most of his WWE run.

This is different. Brodie Lee is just a guy smarks have said is underrated and that they like. He's never actually been over and they just gave him a PPV title match. A $50 PPV title match in 2020.

They need to go the WCW and Goldberg way and use their biggest stars to push new favorites. I don't think they've found that star yet. Guevara and Allin are too small. Scorpio needs that push though.

Na, they definitely haven’t found their star but it’s still way too early and then this Covid shyt is fukking things up for them just like pretty every.

Like if anything, every company I feel like we legit just need to give passes and more patience too cuz they really can’t due a lot of things they wanna do under the circumstances.

Just to reply to this.... I never heard that his school was officially tied to AEW. It’s not and never promoted like how WWE talks about the Performance Center, WCW like when they promoted the Power Plant, or hell even NJPW when they promote their dojo.

If I missed it I missed it, but other than a couple of coli folks. I never saw an official word from Cody or etc

Na, that's not it. WWE has some real top notch trainers with their own companies i.e, Booker T. It's just the writing is extremely prejudice and predictable plus Vince's delusional authoritarianism approach kills it and this is where AEW has the advantage. There's no prejudices holding anyone back from thriving so if you win the crowd, you win the title. There's no force feeding Charlotte or expecting minorities to reach good but not good enough for his favorite cacs.

True. I just wish WWE wasn't hogging up all these contracts for guys that will go nowhere. Those guys would thrive in these indie companies and elevate it to another level.

3 ppl I want in AEW although they're not in the E are Willie Mack and the Brisco brothers. I think their characters would be great as title holders.
