Hiromu Takahashi the only veteran of note left in NJPW that I can think of that would be potentially available that has any business getting a AEW title match on a PPV. And NJPW won’t even bump him up to the heavyweight division so it wouldn’t even really make sense.

So might as well go with one of the young up and comers like Tsuji, Umino, etc.

With all those New Japan guys out of the mix I’d rather just see Swerve vs. Mistico though.
