Turbofists boxed well, but JoJo gave that fight away imo.

All he had to do was take a step back and let Turbo fall in with his combos and then counter instead of just covering up and letting him get off. It seemed like he did more damage with his punches than Turbofists did. Its just that he didn't let his hands go enough. The opportunities were there, but he didn't take them. :snoop: He let Gary's speed neutralize him. Whenever he did have his offensive bursts he would handle Turbo who couldn't do anything back, but punch faster. :mjlol:

2 solid bouts where nikkas ended up having Broner syndrome so good fights didn't turn into great fights. :manny:

So many draws cuz he can't consistently put 12 rounds together, can't keep letting fighters bank early rounds if you're not stopping them
This. And I don't even think he takes those rounds off bc he has too. He is the superior fighter. I'm guessing his trainer is the one who devises his strategy--its not working. Badou is probably the best fighter at 175. He needs to dominate like he is the best fighter. Stop taking til round fukking 5 to get started. I can see taking off 2 rounds, but 4? :wtf:

Your margin for error doing that is razor thin. He needs to turn it up by round 4.

Jack is so frustrating to watch smh. I had it a draw so I'm not mad at the score but there was mad room for him to win this because Stevenson punched himself out in the 6 and after that it was Jack's fight cause Superman was gassed hard and was there for the taking. Jack definitely needs to tune up his strategy, starting slow is good and finish hard is good but he should try and secure at least 2 rounds in the first half for his strategy to be more efficient. I had him losing 5 rounds in the first half and losing the 11th though he got hurt in the 10th but he won 2/3 of it. Great fight anyway, the last 3 rounds had me :krs:

Also, you guys really think that Adonis will do a rematch ? Considering that that belt is his sole leverage, how close he was to defeat and his age, I'm a bit skeptical :patrice:

Stevenson will hold on for dear life to that belt and will ONLY fight him if they probably double or triple his current purse.

Honestly, that damn body punch at the end of round 10 secured the draw for Stevenson. I know we are upset that yet again Jack scores a draw, but truth be told, he would have won this fight had he taken the 11th. shyt, he was on skates the entire 11th round. Jack is frustrating to watch because he has the superior skills, he just wants and waits and waits. Like in the early rounds man, esp round 1 and 2, there was enough room for him to at least win one of those with the jab. Instead, he acts tentative and let's win those rounds easy with work rate.

I think Badou will still end up king of 175. I'm hoping he can win the rematch in the fall (if there is one :comeon:) and then fight either Kovalev or derevychenko or even beterbeast :merchant:

Yeah I think Badou was already hurting before the 10th because there were times where he was shelling up "lower" than his usual peek a boo. Props to Stevenson too because after the 7th, I thought he would lose because he was looking bad. He showed character and also versatility beyond his 1-2 though through his body language he thought he lost so he kinda surprised me there. I doubt Jack will get the rematch and the belt and it's a shame because he was so close.

About him being the King at 175, I'm not sure to be frank. I'd like him to be but the Eastern dudes are serious and more skillfull than a 40 yo Adonis. A guy like Derevyanchenko is a good body puncher and I'm not sure Jack will survive a 12 round long body work now that his weakness is exposed.

This is why I always thought Kovalev would have beaten Adonis.

And props to Jacks chin. I was surprised it was a body shot late in the fight that hurt hin. Adonis was ready to go in the last round.

I don’t really think he had a choice this fight. Adonis is not a guy you play around with. I also never got the impression he was the superior fighter, more so he had the superior stamina.

Regardless, if this guy wants to stop getting draws, he needs to reevaluate what he’s doing.
