Because fresh outta college with a degree the people I know make like $24 an hour, and I assume that most the people on a hip hop board are young people, I just don't see many people making 6 figures on here. Not to mention $30 an hour doesn't make you poor in my book, I'd be satisfied with that wage.
Even if there are people making upwards of 70 grand a year on here they are the minority, and anyone who is making more than that is probably a well established business man who is not "poppin' bottles in the club".
Of course this is a generalization but I don't see the majority of people on here being the exception
That's fair to assume that MOST people on The-Coli are young and don't make more than $30 an hour, I'd bet on that.
But there are some people on here who definitely don't even think of wages ($30 an hour), they think in salary, bonuses, equity, etc.
And well-established businessmen pop more bottles than anyone. People work hard and play hard. Ask any host in Vegas and they'll tell you that the majority of their consistent spenders are businessmen (this is really a broad term). All of the people who I know that pop bottles consistently are businessmen/business owners (bankers, restaurant owners, tech investors, distributors, etc.).
It's not just rappers out there popping bottles. This isn't a black or hip-hop thing. If anything, LMFAO's "Champagne Showers" influenced people to pop more bottles than Lil' Wayne's "Pop Bottles"...
