Had it gone to trial, it would have cost far more than the settlement to get the case dismissed.

My understanding of the law (correct me if I'm wrong) is that a case doesn't even make it to trial unless there is some kind of evidence that is merited and requires further investigation or else it is thrown out.

Typically, a celebrity opts for a settlement is because of the damage some TRUTHS can do to their image. (I.e. Kobe settled because details of his buttfukking escapades wouldve came out. Weather it was consentual or not was secondary, as the goal was to minimize the damage to his image... Same with Mike Jackson.. Whether or not he touched that boy took a backseat to all the inappropriate shyt he did with kids becoming public information)


My question is what did he have to hide. "Trial costing too much" is not a reality to an innocent man with long money
