Yeah, thats exactly what happened. The 80s featured Bullets teams that had no direction and we also missed on picking Karl Malone :smh:

The 90s continued that... they actually drafted some guys like Rasheed Wallace, Juwan Howard, trading for C-Webb, signing an undrafted Ben Wallace... but they got rid of them all at some point there too.

Abe was a loyal guy and didn't see Wes Unseld's horrible management. It was ridiculous.

I hate Ernie Grunfeld but Unseld is just on another category of bad in terms of being a GM.

you say the '79 team, the '75 team was the best team in the NBA that year and got ran out by Golden State. Abe Pollin was such a bad sports owner, breh would schedule events at the Cap Center and Verizon Center during the postseason. He just didnt get it.:snoop:

The '75 Bullets probably got screwed out of a title because of that, and the 2001 Capitals lost a series to Pittsburgh because of Pollin having an event lined up during the playoffs. He was :oldsabo:

i swear to vishnu if the bullets ever manage to somehow trick the league into letting them win another title i will cry like a newborn fukkin baby god

we've been through so much :sadbron: i had to :whoa: distance myself from the team as i got older because i was so emotionally invested in them as a kid and i realized it was bad for my mental health

It is sad how the trophy had been gone from the building for so many years and no one didn't notice it until the new owner ask for it. Story like this disgust me:wtb:

Yeah. It is also horrible that all those players from that era of Bullets basketball haven't been honored properly or connected to current Washington teams.

This is one thing I'm glad Ted Leonsis is currently correcting. Washington has a good history in the NBA despite the last 25-30 years of bad management.

If you think about it the 2000's were sorta like the 70's in terms of the franchises who got rings. Spurs, Pistons, Mavs, Heat :skip:

True story, you could make the argument that the Bullets were the most consistent team of the 1970s
