i'm not feeling it...it has 3 legit good songs on there imo (Ha, Ha Remix and Back that azz up)...the rest seems like filler.

if anyone has any to add...I'll give them a listen again, i bought the album back in 99 and i just wasn't impressed.

Choppa City goes hard tho...that whole album is a banger

you werent sold because you didnt have the vision,Wayne had better flows than Turk too...you can try to discredit Wayne with that wobbly wobbly shyt, but he got props for going hard as he did in them hotboys days, you tryna rewrite history

there wasnt no hotboys fans that hated or clowned Wayne,we liked em all,but Turk was the least preferred....and how was YNT thuggin selling better than THe Block Is Hot when The Block is hot sold double what Turk sold in the first week

edit-excuse me he tripled Turks sales in the first week,Wayne did 230,TUrk did 82K,Wayne went platinum in a month.unless they pulled the plug on YNT the first day it dropped, show me where he was selling better than Wayne?

I clearly said "lights out" not "tha block is hot".:comeon:

what vision? yea, wayne had the crossover charisma but youre acting like he blew up off of what he was doing back then. he was a completely different rapper when he blew up, thanks to being repackaged by his ghostwriter, after 3 albums that failed to meet expectations and a 4th album that got scrapped. I'm pretty sure that wasn't apart of your vision. lol.

wayne used to get clowned all the time. even by the people who bought his records, off the strength of cash money. like I said, he was only taken seriously by women & kids.........and you were a kid. you prolly had him in rotation next to bow wow......and theres absolutely nothing wrong with that. just a lil perspective.

better flow? I mean, that's subjective but like I said, half the south jacked young turk's flow back in the day. meawhile, wayne had to scrap his flow to blow up on his own.

Threw on CCITG off the strength of this thread. Its still a banger but its not seeing 400 Degreez at all. Honestly, how are y'all comparing Juvenile's best and the crown jewel of Cash Money to BGs 4th or 5th best album? :dahell:

Hell, Checkmate blows this album out the frame if we really wanna keep it 100.

Turk was sabotaged by CMB as well as sabotaging himself with his addiction..
He missed releasing his album during CMB prime run...By the time he dropped, the label was pretty much in reconstruction...

Lights Out got a way bigger push than young n thuggin...
Those are the albums to compare because they both came out around the same time..

In saying that..wayne was a studio rat and he was drug free at the time(also had commercial appeal), so I can see why CMB would push him harder and put the pieces around him to build him up..

CCITG was supposed to hit the rap/hip hop world the way 400 degreez did..You can tell fresh, baby, and slim had bg dumb it down and mellow it out because they thought it was the one to bring the label out..If bg would've maintained the lyrical intensity of IAOU with those ccitg beats this wouldn't even be an argument.

I never understood the hype around B.G. then and i still dont...but i own all his early Cash Money stuff...but 400 degrees kills everything they ever released and its still the highest selling album from Cash Money
