Why. It's her body, her choice, no? She's old enough to vote, go to the military etc
You’re right.
The thing that ppl don’t want to acknowledge is a lot of women get older and look back on their lives, and if they weren’t protected or properly guided/prepped for adult life, they can get groomed or end up in situations that they wouldn’t have chosen IF they had more information at that age. Plenty of stories from women who are 25, 27, 32+ who look back and realize the “older guy” (20, 25, 30+) who said they were so mature for their age (14, 15, 17), or that he was so in love, etc was really an old guy playing mind games with a young girl who didn’t know any better.
Shhhyt I had a friend in HS who bragged to all of us that she had a boyfriend in law school during a sleepover. One by one we all (15/16YOs) looked her dead in the eye and told her she was getting r@ped. Dude was like 24/25. See, all of our parents taught us better. Her folks were too busy and she was always home alone, so there ya go. Grad school age nikka all up in her parents’ house because they were never home
I mean, most of us on here know about the Chris Stokes/B2K abuse allegations.
His 18YO wife doesn’t know that her hubby may have been involved with that shyt when he was her age.
His life, his business, but that’s something I’d want to know about before marrying someone.
If she had her dad, and/or a big bro who would’ve done some research on him, they might’ve guided her differently.
But the truth is, this is a beautiful young woman who was basically a runaway. I don’t think she has a real support system (if she did, she wouldn’t be 18 marrying someone 2x her age).
Trading her young years for security with him was probably the wisest “adult” decision she could make.
Best case scenario: he does right by her and her children w/him are never harmed.
Worst case scenario…bad shyt happens and she walks away with a serious bag.
We can look at this and say “eeww” because the men in our families would never let this happen. However, there really are girls moving out here with NO protection or direction. As long as she and the kids aren’t harmed…
And a breh up-thread mentioned Leo DiCaprio.
As I’ve said before:
The difference is Leo isn’t MARRYING those girls. If he picked a young girl and rode off into the sunset with her, everyone would stfu. He’s literally swapping chicks out. It’s disgusting.
His saving grace, however, is that Leo is the old man who puts young girls up on game (at the cost of him having some fun with them). If you pay attention, some of his notable exes have gone on to marry very successful “family men”. I suspect Leo tells his young girls that he isn’t marrying anyone, but what/who to look for and to go marry the right kinda guy. I totally give him credit for that.
