can anyone explain to me the purpose of the lockout last year?
Oh I completely understand what you're saying. They should have been in no rush to extend him, but if they were leaning towards keeping him long term, why go after Ross?
With that said, the Raps are better on paper than people think. Half the battle has been won at PG and C. Just get the most out of Bargs and DeRozan and they can be good now.
Lowry won't be the weakness of a good team, they're set at pgAbsolutely not.

actually I see the point of these deals. If you pay them now and they blow up, you have something most teams don't have: an underpaid non rookie star. If it doesn't work out then the contract is still just enough to where you can move it later possibly, even for a similarly sized deal. If you don't do anything and he blows up, you either pay full price or you let him walk.
In DeRozan's case they didn't need to do it because they already had a possible replacement already on the team. For players like Holiday and Curry, they had to do it before someone else would put that pressure on them.
There was no need he was a restricted fa next year no one would have even thrown a enormous amount of money at him
Typical colangelo
I hope Lowry doesnt rot their in Toronot. Get the man some real help..
