Not surprised it turned out to be a flop. Raw after Mania became a thing after the NY crowd hijacked the show. WWE has tried to ride that wave ever since. My brother wanted to go, but I don't have the patience to sit through a three hour show filled with breaks and commercials. I went to bed at 930.

Raw after Mania became a thing the year before in Miami, where the Yes Movement was born.

What made Raw after Mania special was the element of surprise. Would someone big jump ship, would someone that's been gone for a while return. With no number 2 you don't really get the guys jumping ship. There aren't too many guys that have been gone for a while that are either young enough to still go or of been popular enough to have fans give a shyt

Nah Raw after Mania has been a huge deal going back to at least 98 when XPac returned home. That said, WWE didn't really acknowledge how different the Raw after Mania was until the yes movement. That said once they acknowledged it, the quality of the raw after Mania has steadily declined in quality
