Look at how the Judgment Day storyline has been developing since last year. Remember last year when Damien said he was the leader of the group? That upset the rest of the members since their motto was that there was no leader. Every time he's gotten upset at the people in the group over something, they did not have a good reaction to it. They teased a split between Balor and Priest last year but didn't do it. Eventually they are going to get tired of him and jump him. He'll end up as face by default because Judgment Day are natural heels.

their ideas for Ilja as a character start and end at WALTER tho. He need to get beat, fall in line and eventually they'll have him Sami his way out. Last one in, first one out to buck against the Ring General.
Otherwise what else he gonna do? Ricochet already getting the mid-sized sedan push, only so much room for another compact push. Besides, they gonna need to get Gunther ready for the main event and having a 20 minute slobberknocker with a crazy Eastern European half his size ain't gonna get him much. Ilja's refusal to sell in the interest of furthering the tough gimmick is the dead last thing Gunther needs
