Probably because this show was really meant to be a one time only deal and just did whatever they wanted. Once Vince greenlit the return of "ECW" they were more careful on how they booked the show

Wasn't that Cactus Jack's gimmick as well once the crowd told him to "Cane Dewey"?It's weird seeing Austin here because even though the Stone Cold persona fit lECW like a glove, his character in ECW was a prettyboy big shot who was on sometowards hardcore wrestling and ECW's whole image.

Funniest shyt was when Mikey Whipwreck won the belt and Jack was the first one to come out and celebrate with him, while Mikey was like
and a bunch of other ECW guys kicked him out of the ring 
Eh I honestly prefer the WWE vs ECW special more than ONS 06 since it felt like a overall better show since that was the concept of ONS 06. The problem with ONS 05 was the fact that it felt too forced in some area with Styles overreacting to shyt (him shytting on Mike Awesome because "I'm a smark" and him laughing like a high school pimpled jawn over the BWO appearance) Along with the shoed in "we hate ECW angle". The entire show felt like a wankfest to get people to check for ECW when the past should have been the past. The Rise and Fall of ECW perfectly summed up the whole ordeal and they decided to put on a reunion show with WWE being on the radar. It should have been just a reunion show in the Bingo Hall with old school production and etc. That way it would have felt pure to the promotion, instead of a WWE show featuring ECW.

Its been a long time since I last seen ONS05. It wasnt bad, but not as good as I remembered, enjoyable nevertheless. About to watch an old school ECW PPV, not sure what tho.
