Ryan would have been much better off going the Pacquiao route for trash talking/fight promotion. He should have leaned fully into the pretty boy IG kid image instead of trying to be tough

Ryan doesn't look like he is mentally right in the head. I imagine the people around are trying to get him to drop from this fight because it will get ugly. Ryan is not fully committed to boxing.

I never thought of that, but your'e completely right.
His brand and likability would have benefitted a great deal if he took that approach / persona.
Leonard, Pacquiao, K Tsyzu, GGG, even De La Hoya in his early prime, these fighters were adored worldwide because of their nice guy personalities.
