They keep running their heads into the wall because at the end of the day they're not respecting boxing. They gotta stop talking with their chest about how boxing isn't real and is easier. Their ego has them talking shyt to dudes in a sport they're automatically disadvantaged in. They just need to stand on their square about what they do and leave it at that.
Their advantage in this argument is that MMA uses more weapons. They should just stick with that. But the more I hear these dudes talk I really think they think in their minds and hearts that their hands are on par with boxers. Most MMA dudes have more skill at being "professional punchers," but don't even have a foundational understanding or feel for pure boxing. If not for their corners yelling out pre-determined combinations to throw, a lot of these dudes would be lost.
So when you get in there with someone who is all about that sweet science shyt it's going to be difficult to even look like you belong. And rightfully so. If someone puts 15,000 hours into their hands and boxing footwork, you don't get to look like that when you spread your hours out among grappling, wrestling, knees, elbows, etc. Nothing wrong with it, but gonna be a hell of a learning curve, breh.
They're trying hard to get their respect from boxers and need to be turning that energy on Dana White to pay them more so they can stop running to boxing to get pieced up.
