I would have been genuinely surprised if the fans were white hot for Lashley given his relative absence from the public eye. I imagine that it will take some time for the crowd to warm up to him, but he needs a legit finisher for people to anticipate.

I thought that the back stage interview was a step in the right direction, but tonight was a regression. If you want people to care about him, then you have to give them a reason to. Having his return match be a lazily booked multiman match where he looks disinteested ain't the way to go.
