Yeah I think Bray/The Fiend gimmick is DONE in WWE. Bray has constantly gotten the short end of the stick from creative ever since he's been on the main roster. He might be better suited for AEW. This company doesn't take Bray seriously and never have.

Other than Sting, Darby, Luchasaurus, and the Dark Order, AEW doesn’t do those weirdo gimmicks well, he’ll be Husky Rotunda within a month :skip:

Did it make sense for her to win? Her match seemed more like a delay than anything because of COVID last year. They positioned her to be the face of the division at the three brand Survivor Series. She was thrown in a couple of weeks ago and is all of a sudden the champ. I would have booked it for Becky and Asuka to have a match for all keeps to see who's really the champ.

Yeah it made sense... it's been clear for over a year that when she hit the main roster, she was gonna be a big deal. I figured it was imminent as soon as it looked like Charlotte wasn't gonna be at Mania and Rhea was about to debut. If they're gonna have her first one on one match on the main roster be for the title at Mania, it'd only make sense for her to win it. Becky isn't even on TV, so she's probably not ready to come back yet- can't book what you don't have :yeshrug:

Im watching the BrokenSkullSessions with Jericho and how did fans at the time know he was debuting?

Internet was goin' on... not as widespread as it is now of course, but there were sites out there where you could find out the backstage shyt. Some of it would be bullshyt but some of it legit. It was speculated that Jericho had left WCW and was coming to the WWF, so some people figured it was gonna be him.

Again, I disagree. I would have kept the strap on Asuka and left her off the card altogether. At least with Banks/Belair, it had been brewing. This was a move to get the belt off of her altogether. It's blatant.

So yeah... MANIA...

I hope Vince and them finally get the message that these crowds are gonna boo Hogan's ass every time they bring him out there for a live show. They need to leave that guy be and stop tryin' to get him back on peoples' good side. He served his purpose, had his time, made wrestling huge, all that... he's always gonna be remembered, he's a legend... but it's over. He did it to himself.

McIntyre/Lashley- gotdamn, pal! Such good shyt! That reminded me of an old school main event with two big MFs hittin' power moves and just tryin' to kick eachother's ass- not a lot of fancy stuff or high spots, just a "big fight feel" as they say. And doubly glad Lashley retained.

That tag turmoil... woooo, man. If you wonder why the title scene revolves around The Four Horsewomen and Asuka, there it is. Naomi's dope, Natalya is solid always, Ruby and Liv had the best showing. But the rest of 'em are exactly where they need to be. And undercard ain't a bad thing, but it should never be them in those main spots. This shoulda been on SD, and the SD tag titles shoulda been here.

Cesaro/Rollins was dope as fukk- definitely the showcase for Cesaro, they did a great job puttin' this guy over. Of course, this coulda happened years ago... hopefully this is a sign that Vince & co. finally believe.

Tag title match was a dope debut for Omos... man came thru and WRECKED these dudes. They all did great in getting him over.

I ain't give a shyt about this Shane/Braun stuff, but the finish was good. As usual, always count on Shane to jump or get thrown off some shyt- MF is NUTS :lolbron: But yeah, just wasn't for me. Probably my least favorite match of the weekend besides the tag turmoil.

Bad Bunny/Priest did their thing, especially Bunny- dude really did take this shyt seriously and pulled off a great match with Miz/Morrison. It's definitely one of the better celeb-involved matches they've had at Mania.

Bianca and Sasha showed and proved, possibly my favorite match of the weekend! I figured the internet was gonna internet about it, but this lived up to every expectation, and justified being the last match on the show. Great showing by both- Bianca rightfully got to shine, and Sasha did a great job in putting her over.

Man that Fiend/Orton match had y'all nikkas GRUMPY! :russ: I wasn't even that mad at the match, it was whatever. But to do all that shyt with Alexa and then everything goes black and then... nothing happens... that shyt blew me. I get that it's obviously leading to something else, maybe even tonight, but gotdammit it's Mania- if you gonna do something, pull the trigger on it all the way.

Women's tag match was ehhh... I guess something happened with Reg, a no-show, family emergency, illness? I feel like he was supposed to play a role in this stuff somehow and for whatever reason, his absence switched up the plan.

KO/Sami was dope as usual, they never fail. I don't know shyt about Logan Paul but good to see him get stunned :pachaha:

Riddle/Sheamus was something I wasn't super-excited for but gotdamn, good match.

Big E/Apollo was cool- I expected Apollo was finally gonna get his big win here, but was surprised by Dabbakato/Azeez showing up. I was wondering when they were gonna do something with him.

Good showing by Asuka/Rhea... Ripley's gonna be a bright spot this year, she's dope.

The main event was great. All three came thru and gladly, Roman retained. So now, looks like Edge is gonna blame Bryan's involvement for his loss and they're gonna feud. Reigns can move along to the next challenger, who could be either Big E or Cesaro.

OVERALL, damn good Mania. Few things I didn't care for but I rarely ever like EVERYthing... definitely seemed like (especially on night 1), they were determined to make that first live show a great deal. The crowd was into it too, which always adds to the show- just made it better, and MUCH better than last year in the quiet empty room. Also helps that it was two shows- I know some people want it to stay being one night- but that six-hour show shyt is exhausting just to watch at home, and clearly it wears the crowd out too. If they gonna have all these matches, I guess two nights it is. Overall, might be too early to call but this might be my favorite Mania since 30.

Folks gotta stop with these conspiracy theories like everything is a scheme against Asuka :russ: That's that Sami Zayn shyt. Yeah, it's all part of a blatant plot against a woman who within three years has been Raw women's champion, SD women's champ, women's tag champion, won Royal Rumble, and Money In The Bank... obviously there's no intent to push her. :lolbron:
